Medical diagnostic imaging with magnetic resonance imaging

Radiofrequency technologies are used for diagnostic imaging in modern medical technology applications in radiology, e.g. for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI, as part of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) applications).

With a magnetic resonance imaging system, very strong magnetic fields and magnetic field gradients, in the high-frequency range are generated to excite certain atomic nuclei in the body to resonate. This in turn indicates an electrical signal that can be recorded and converted into a sectional image of organs or tissue.

SPINNER products for MRI applications offer a permanent flow of data, signals, or high power for this purpose, especially when transmitting through rotating elements with so-called rotary joints, even in the most confined spaces or smallest sizes.

Significant experience in magnetic resonance imaging

SPINNER can look back on many years of experience as a specialist in the field of high-frequency technology and components in the medical sector. With a pneumatically operated 7-16 coaxial switch for computer tomographs, SPINNER entered the development and supply of RF components for diagnostic imaging in 1984.

Since then, SPINNER has been supplying well-known manufacturers of medical technology equipment with components of the highest precision, performance and durability.
