Weather radar systems use radio waves to locate and monitor weather date and precipitation like rain, snow or hail. Synonyms for weather radar are weather surveillance radar (WSR) and Doppler weather radar. Weather radar systems from SPINNER combine fibre optic rotary joints (FORJ) with single- and dual-channel radio frequency for frequency ranges in S-, C- and X-band.
