Connectors for the transmission of high-frequency signals are used in a wide variety of industries such as mobile communication, broadcast, measurement, satellite communication or in radar technology. The outer conductor is firmly clamped by screwing on the cable clamp. The cable clamp provides a thread for screwing into a connector head, in which the inner conductor is then connected, e.g. by soldering.
The connector has a straight direction.
4-hole panel mounting connectors enable wall mounting e.g. on housings. 4-hole panel connectors are inserted into an appropriately prepared notch or bore. On a mounting plate that is perpendicular to the direction of the connector, there are four holes for fastening the connector with screws.
Coaxial flange connectors, generally known as “EIA flanges”, are connected by a coupling element. The flange connector system complies with international standards EIA STD RS-225, 339 IEC, DIN EN 122150 and MIL-F 24044. The EIA flange connectors are excellently qualified suited for pressurized systems and for outdoor installations. 7/8" EIA connectors are used to link two elements of a rigid or semi-rigid high performance coaxial transmission line for radio frequency signals. Typically, these are operated in systems for very high power transmission (from kW to MW), e.g. in DAB, DVB or FM broadcast systems or in high-energy applications in research facilities (particle accelerator, plasmatron).
