Single Channel Fiber Optic Rotary Joints
1 CH fiber optic rotary joints offer top performance and extremely compact dimension. Units are available with flange or L-Style and IP68 rating for Wind Power and Deep Sea applications.
The 1-channel fiber optic rotary joints (in short: FORJ) are the smallest representatives of the optics family built by SPINNER. However, there is no reason for them to hide behind their multichannel counterparts. Taking both into account, their compact form and superior performance, you will hardly find anything on the market matching them in their field. Like specified in their names, housing diameters of 14 mm (1.14) and 17 mm (1.17) are standard.
There is a device for every need. Choose the 1.14 whenever available space is a matter. For even less room, SPINNER provides the 1.14L-FORJ (L-type) with one fiber leaving the FORJ vertically to its rotating axis. Therefore, the length gets even shorter, leaving room for other devices. With the IP54-rating, they are well equipped for every laboratory environment and, generally speaking, every environment protected of direct water exposure. Both are also available as high-speed versions (tested up to 16000 rpm @room temperature), making them suitable for e.g. modern OCT devices.
For applications under harsh environmental conditions, choose the 1.17. Rated as IP68 it keeps working even fully immersed in water and in Wind Offshore Parks. Also oil running over it, which might happen if integrated into a larger assembly, does not do any harm. Whenever you do not want to worry about the circumstances, that’s the one you should get.
All our 1-channel fiber optic rotary joints are available as multimode- and singlemode-versions. If space is rare but you need more bandwidth, add virtual channels by combining our 1-channel FORJs with a WDM (both DWDM and CWDM) setup (wavelength division multiplexing).
